'La
Mancha' A.O.
La Mancha is
the largest
wine
producing
area, with a
total of
some 192,000
hestares of
vineyards
located and
spread
around 182
municipalities
in four
different
regions:
Albacete,
Ciudad Real,
Cuenca and

'Tierra
de Castilla'
wines'. The
viticulture
of
Castilla-La
Mancha is
fully
competitive
and first
class with
regard to
grape
varieties
and growing
methods,
oenology
technolgy
and
quality-price
ratio of the
wine.
The
classification
"Vino
de la Tierra
de
Castilla",
or 'Tierra
de Castilla
wine's', was
created to
facilitate
the
identification
of a wine
meeting a
market
demand other
than that of
the
appellation
of origin or
table wines.
You can find
two new
brands:
Descarao and
Cumplido.
Table
wines. Due
to the
increasing
demand of
these kind
of wines,
Bodegas
Altovela has
created two
new brands:
Monte Medio
and Monte
Bajo.
